Vincent J. Beaner, 72, of Hoven, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gettysburg, with Fr. Jerry Kopel presiding. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Morningside Cemetery, Ree Heights, SD.
Vincent Jerome Beaner was born May 7, 1948 in Miller, SD, the sixth of seven children born to William and Lucille (Coss) Beaner. He attended school in Miller, SD.
On August 23, 1969, Vince was united in marriage to Marcia Harvey at Immaculate Conception Church at Stephan, SD. They were blessed with their three daughters: Lisa, Dixie, and Kelly.
Vince will be remembered for his ability to fix just about anything. He dedicated 26 years of his life to C & B Operations out of Gettysburg. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, watching NASCAR, hunting, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 51 years, Marcia of Hoven; daughter: Lisa (Marlin) Wendland of Copley, OH and their sons, Mason and Jack; daughter, Kelly (Tim) Knodel of Eagle, CO and their children Cade, Carson, and Reagan; son-in-law: Nathan (Jen) Zoelle of Sioux Falls; sister, Mary Bechen of Mitchell; brothers: John (Anita) Beaner, Mike (Rita) Beaner, and Pat (Linda) Beaner, all of Miller; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Norma Beaner, Sharon Arbeiter, Bev (Lyle) Etbauer, Duane (Carol) Harvey, Delora Vojtech, Dennis (Kathy) Harvey, and Arlen (Marie) Harvey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Dixie Zoelle; in-laws: Clyde and Mabel Harvey; brothers: William “Bill” Beaner and Joseph Beaner; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Keith and Judy Harvey, Alvin Arbeiter, Roger Vojtech, and Howard Bechen; and his special dog, Jake.
