Private Family Funeral Services for Vivian Red Dogg age 82 of Cannon Ball, ND will be at 11 AM, CT on Monday, October 26, 2020 at St. James Episcopal Church in Cannon Ball, ND. Fr. John Floberg will be officiating. Burial will be at Big Lake Cemtery under direction of Oster Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. Vivian Marie (Thunder Hawk) – Reddogg -Was’te Hceki Kahnige 81, born August 11, 1939, to Raymond Thunderhawk and Christine (Uses Arrow) Alkire in South Big Lake Cannonball, ND.
In her early years, Vivian attended school at St. Elizabeth in Wakapala, SD and Pierre Boarding School, and graduated from Flandreau Boarding School. After high school, Vivian married Kenneth Grey Cloud, Sr. and moved to California on the Relocation Program. From their union, Kenny and Mark were born. While in California she attends and graduated from cosmetology school. She later returned home to South Big Lake to grandma arrows home. Where her mother, grandmother lived, and cousins would come to stay and visit, filling the home with love and laughter.
Vivian gained employment at the old store (Lloyds Store) in Cannonball, ND. Shortly after she would go on to meet Elwood Conica Sr. From their union; Patty and Elwood Jr. and stillborn baby girl Pamela Conica. She later would become a widow. She took employment with Standing Rock Sioux Tribe CHR Program.
She met and married Paul Bruno Reddogg, from their union Kimmie jo was born. Vivian resided shortly in Cannonball, Little Eagle, and Fort Yates. Her heart always remained to Big Lake, where she resided with Bruno and Kimmie until her passing. She attended Fort Yates College receiving two degrees while working at Lloyds Store in Fort Yates, ND. She later work with Prairie Knights Casino and then Fort Yates IHS dialysis until where she retired in 2008.Vivian enjoyed sewing, shopping, playing bingo, and the company of family and friends.
Vivian is survived by her husband Paul Bruno Reddogg and five children; Kenny (Ann) Grey Cloud, Mark Grey Cloud, Patricia Harrison, Elwood Conica Jr., and Kimmie Jo Reddogg. Twenty-one grandchildren; Stephanie, Erin (John), Eric (Ambrosia), Kent and Kort Grey Cloud, Zane, Storm, Kolt, Jett, Mark Jr., Schevelle and Kenneth Grey Cloud, Kris (Emily) Thomas, Alyson, Samantha, Taylor, and Joshua Molash, Tori, Tristan, Thalia, and Tayvia Conica. Fifteen great-grandchildren; Kenyon, Kaiyah and Kaliyah Grey Cloud, Meteo and Mataya Pretty Bear, John, Tate’, Hepi’, and Waniya Grey Cloud, Nycoy Grey Cloud, Eris Grey Cloud, Kristopher, Jacob and Jonah Thomas.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents Raymond Thunder Hawk and Christine Alkire and her daughter Pamela Conica.
