The 5th Judicial Circuit Court/Court Services will be closing at noon today (4/2/25) due to the inclement weather. This circuit covers Brown, Campbell, Day, Edmunds, Faulk, Marshall, McPherson, Roberts, Spink and Walworth counties.

Designated officials from 60 of South Dakota’s 66 counties and eight of the nine Tribes will also be adding travel advisory information to the state’s SD511 system this winter. (Those not participating are Mellette, Todd, Gregory, Miner, Turner and Minnehaha counties and the Yankton Sioux Tribe.)
Specific to Interstate 29 and Interstate 90 in South Dakota, people can sign up to receive email or text notifications for road closure updates and travel advisories. People can subscribe to receive text messages and/or email notifications by texting “SDinterstates” to 605-836-8836. Other points to note are:
- Information will not be shared about state highways through this text/email service.
- This text/email notification system sends out information, but is not able to receive it. Messages sent to this number will receive an automated response encouraging them to use SD511 for the latest road conditions.
