Wendall Paul White Magpie, 80, of Cherry Creek, entered the spirit world Friday, November 27, 2020 at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital, Pierre, SD.
In compliance with the CRST Tribal Directives, a private family service will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020, at the Blue Gym, Cherry Creek, with a procession at 10:00 a.m. from the hill east of town. Burial will take place at the Congregational Cemetery, Cherry Creek.
Wendell Paul White Magpie was born on October 13, 1940, in Cherry Creek, to Eli White Magpie and Phoebe Little Shield. Paul was married to Bernita Eagle Feather on October 26, 1959, by Rev. Moses Flying By.
Wendell is survived by his daughters: Eva White Magpie of Cherry Creek, Gwendolyn White Magpie of Eagle Butte, Florence Bald Eagle of Eagle Butte, Melissa White Magpie of Eagle Butte, Phoebe White Magpie of Sioux Falls, Sara White Magpie of McLaughlin, and Paulette White Magpie of Bismarck, ND; sons: Terrance White Magpie of St. Paul, MN and Milton White Magpie of Rapid City; 34 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wendell was preceded in death by his wife, Bernita Eagle Feather.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Wendall’s arrangements.
