Wyatt Lee Rowland was born on February 27, 2007, in Watertown, South Dakota, to Justin Rowland and Sarah Rheinbolt. He attended elementary and high school in Highmore at Highmore-Harrold School.
As a young boy, Wyatt was always active and involved in everything he could be. He played AAU football, wrestled for AAU, and worked on the farm with his dad and grandpa as often as possible. As a teen, he continued to play football, but gave up wrestling, choosing to work, instead, on the farm and ranch. It was around this time that he began to really enjoy tinkering with cars and pickups. He enjoyed hunting deer and pheasants, hanging out with friends, and working on projects with Grandpappy. He loved his dog, Jerry, and was not often seen without her in tow.
Wyatt worked one summer with his uncle, learning some construction work. After that, he began working for Matthew, Ken, and Wilbur Jones. He helped with calving and all aspects of farmwork. He loved running any farm equipment, except for Jones’s small grain cart and his dad’s double nine mowers. He recently started helping at Kimball Livestock Exchange on Tuesdays.
Wyatt is survived by his parents: Justin Rowland of Ree Heights and Sarah (Luke) Rheinbolt of Holabird; siblings: Chase Rowland of Sisseton, Ryder and Jackson Rowland of Ree Heights, and Avilee Rheinbolt of Holabird; grandparents; one great-grandfather; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Greg Nolz; cousins: Aubriella Nolz and Alex Pettit; and his other great grandparents.
