The City of Pierre has received a Community Development Block Grant to pay for part of the construction of a new addition at the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area in Pierre.
City administrator Kristi Honeywell says the grant is for $770-thousand.
Honeywell and city finance officer Twila Height say the new addition is still in the design phase.
Pierre City Commissioners unanimously approved the necessary paperwork to proceed with the grant.
