A 35-year-old Pierre man faces multiple charges after a traffic stop early this morning (Wed.) in Pierre.
The Pierre Police Department reports an officer saw a vehicle traveling fast on Garfield Avenue. The vehicle—driven by Chastin Hagen– failed to immediately yield to the officer’s emergency signals and continued to travel at a high rate of speed in an erratic manner, then stopped at a dead end road off of Garfield Avenue. While conducting an investigation, the officer saw a firearm in plain view on the front seat of the vehicle.
Hagen was arrested for DUI 2nd Offense, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Unsafe Lane Change and Possession of a Loaded Firearm While Intoxicated. He was taken to the Hughes County Jail.
