SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Volleyball Coaches Association has selected their Miss Volleyball players for the 2018 season. In Class AA, the Miss Volleyball is Elizabeth Schaffer of Rapid City Stevens High School. Schaffer led the Raiders to a Class AA State title last month in Sioux Falls. She is the daughter of former Pierre Riggs High School standout athletes Troy and Kim (Merkwan) Schaffer. The Class A Miss Volleyball is Kylee VanEgdom from State A Champion Sioux Falls Christian and the Class B Miss Volleyball is Hanna Reiff of Chester Area. The other finalist for the award in Class AA were Lily Bartling, Sioux Falls Washington, Michaela Jewett, Brookings and Chelsea Brewster, Mitchell. IN Class A the other finalist were McKenna Kranz, McCook Central/Montrose, Grace Leberman, Parker and Faith Tyler, Wagner. The other Class B finalist were Ashley Fischbach- Warner, Laura Ochsner, Warner and Riley Grandpre, Northwestern. The three girls were named Miss Volleyball on Saturday night during a banquet in Sioux Falls.
