Three Fort Pierre city council seats are up for election this year.
Those with terms expiring are Ward I alderman Kevin Gabriel, Ward II alderman Robert Ricketts and Ward III alderman Thomas Bernhard.
Those interested in running for any of these seats may begin circulating nominating positions Friday (Jan. 25). Petitions must be filed by Feb. 22. These are all two year terms.
