Nearly 25 states’ average price for a gallon of gasoline increased over the past week, but not by much.
AAA reports the national average is a penny more than a week ago at $2.26. But, today’s national average is three cents cheaper than a month ago and 33 cents less expensive than a year ago.
In South Dakota, the current average is $2.15, also up a penny from last week. The price is still 8 cents lower than a month ago and 40 cents cheaper than a year ago.
The nation’s least expensive markets are: Missouri ($1.91), Oklahoma ($1.93) and Arkansas ($1.94).
