The blizzard warning that was in effect for central South Dakota until 1am tomorrow (Fri.) has been down graded to a winter weather advisory that lasts until 9pm tonight.
Weatherology meteorologist Ray Miller says the change means wind speed has gone down.
Official total snow fall reports have been slow to come in to the National Weather Service.
Miller says Pierre had a peak wind gust of 70 mph.
