Pierre City Commission races will not be on the June election ballot.
Pierre city finance officer Twila Hight says yesterday (Tues.) was the deadline to turn in petitions to run for election. She says both commissioners up for election have turned in their petitions and are running unopposed.
Yesterday was also the deadline to turn in petitions for the two Pierre School School Board seats up for election this year. Incumbents Cari Leidholt and Joan Adam both turned in petitions and are unopposed.
Both agencies have three year terms.
