Three Pierre residents have been indicted by a federal grand jury for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance.
25-year-old Jacob Seibel, 22-year-old Christa Seibel and 25-year-old Darrell Hamann all pled not guilty.
The Indictments allege that between September 1, 2018, and September 5, 2018, Hamann and the two Seibels knowingly conspired with others to distribute fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance.
The maximum penalty if convicted is 20 years in prison and/or a $1-million fine and supervised release for 3 years to life.
All three defendants were released on bond pending trial. A trial date has not been set.
