The Countryside St. Benedict’s Guest House in Pierre (415 S. Crow St.) is having an open house today (Sept. 10) from 4:30-6:30pm.
Executive director Holly Hoing says the facility will be a place for cancer patients coming to the Helmsley Center to receive cancer treatment to stay free of charge.
Hoing says people will get to tour the entire facility.
Hoing says to stay at Countryside St. Benedict’s Guest House, patients must get a referral from social services at the hospital.
Also at tonight’s open house, the Dakota Radio Group will be giving St. Benedict’s Guest House a check for over $4,000 raised through our “Clip Cancer’s Grass” promotion. Sandy Garrett of Pierre had the winning code to take home the pink Bush Hog mower during the giveaway last month (Aug. 20).
