So far, the detection of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in South Dakota hasn’t disrupted the functions of Pierre City Government.
But, Pierre mayor Steve Harding says they’re monitoring the situation.
Harding says should the need arise, some employees may be allowed to work remotely.
Fort Pierre mayor Gloria Hanson says so far, the discovery of the COVID-19 virus in South Dakota hasn’t impacted the town’s day-to-day operations.
Hanson says people need to be aware and take proper precautions.
The South Dakota Department of Health has launched a website with COVID-19 information, including number of cases found in the state, at www.covid.sd.gov.
