Former Sully Buttes and University of South Dakota basketball standout Chloe Lamb is moving up in the college basketball coaching ranks. On Thursday (April 25, 2024), Lamb accepted an assistant coach and director of player development position at the University of Minnesota. She’ll be working under her former college coach Dawn Plitzuweit.
The Onida native won a pair of state high school titles at Sully Buttes and then went on to play for Plitzuweit at USD from 2017-2022. She ended her college career, ranking third in program history with 1,884 points and second in three pointers with 253.
Lamb served as an assistant coach at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D., for the past two seasons, after leading USD to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances during her playing days. The Coyotes made it to the Sweet 16 in her senior season, a season in which she was also named the 2022 Summit League Player of the Year.
