MADISON – Dakota State Athletic Director Jeff Dittman has been named as the North Star Athletic Association Athletic Director of the Year. Dittman returned to Dakota State in 2012 and established the Trojan Athletic Club, which has seen membership increase each year. He also was instrumental in helping create the “Ag Bowl,” a collaborative effort between DSU Athletics and Madison-area agriculture businesses to show appreciation for farmers. Dittman assisted in implementing the Athletics Master Plan as numbers of student-athletes and teams grew. He also was important in earning bids to host the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball National Tournament, which has been at the Sanford Pentagon for the last three seasons, and the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, which have been at Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings for the past two seasons.
