Due to the increasing number of cases of COVID-19 in Hughes County, the South Dakota Discovery Center in Pierre is again suspending in-person camps and offering virtual programs.
Executive director Rhea Waldman says they’re using a grant from the Francis R Dewing Foundation to support summer programming, so all camps are half price.
Next week’s camp is a Virtual Wildlife Biologist Camp for Grades 3-5. Participants will learn how to create a backyard wildlife habitat.
