Pierre T.F. Riggs High School juniors and seniors didn’t get to have prom this spring, but they do get the chance to attend an after prom party.
A committee of parents, along with the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety, invite Riggs incoming seniors (Class of 2021) and recently graduated seniors (Class of 2020) to gather at Hollister Field Wednesday, July 29 at 7pm.
There will be a brief program, followed by the prize drawings. Riggs students who plan to attend should use the parking lot behind the Georgia Morse Middle School. Dairy Queen blizzards and refreshments will be provided to attendees.
Social distancing will be enforced, with students being separated on the field during the prize drawing. Masks are recommended for those attending. The committee encourages those students who feel ill, have been tested but are awaiting test results or have been recently exposed to someone who is positive for COVID-19, to stay home to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Further information on the event will be posted to the Pierre Post Prom social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
