VERMILLION – University of South Dakota’s men’s and women’s track and field teams have both been recognized as All-Academic teams by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The cumulative grade point average of the Coyote women’s team is 3.65, the highest since USD joined Division I in 2011. The GPA for the men is 3.23.
Also, 12 USD athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic individual honors:

- Kaleb Ellis-pole vault-Kinesiology and Sport Management major
- Helen Falda-pole vault-Spanish major
- Holly Gerberding-pentathlon-Medical Biology major
- Callie Henrich-weight throw, shot put-Biology major
- Gen Hirata-pole vault-Chemistry, Criminal Justice double major
- Landon Kemp-pole vault-Sport Marketing and Media major
- Deidra Marrison-pole vault-Kinesiology and Sport Management major
- Abby Ripperda-5,000 meters-Medical Biology major
- Brithton Senior-60-meter hurdles-Kinesiology and Sport Management major
- Emilee Shostrom-weight throw-Masters of Business Administration
