GUTHRIE, OK – Layni Stevens of Pierre registered a time of 8.09 in Goat Tying Saturday during the second performance of the National High School Finals Rodeo. Stevens’ time was third best in the performance and left her in seventh place through Saturday’s action.
Josi Stevens scored 271 in her first go of Reined Cow Horse on Saturday morning, putting her 10th in that performance and, through Saturday, tied for 26th overall in the first go.
Riley Shippy of Colome scored 70 in Bull Riding Saturday morning and stood in fifth place through Saturday. Shippy was one of just seven competitors to register a score through Saturday.
Faith’s Iver Paul scored 42 in his first go of Bareback Riding on Saturday night. He was eighth in the performance.
Sully Paxton of Onida did not score Saturday in the first go of Tie-Down Roping.
