EAGLE BUTTE – Cheyenne-Eagle Butte has cancelled fall sports for 2020, citing safety concerns due to COVID-19.
The Braves have cross country, golf and volleyball in Class A and take part in the All Nations Conference in football.
In a statement on the school website, school officials said that the start of classes will be postponed until September 8 and the year will begin with virtual learning. The situation will be reassessed in October.
Part of the statement on the website reads: “This is a new learning experience for students, parents, guardians, teachers and staff. We look forward to beginning this new learning experience with you. We know there will be many challenges and with everyone working together, great things can happen.”
