PIERRE – Former Oahe Capitals head coach Rob Kittay has been named as South Dakota’s Coach-in Chief by USA Hockey and the South Dakota Amateur Hockey Association.
Kittay was in Pierre when the Oahe Hockey Association was formed and was head coach of the Capitals boys team from 1994 to 2019. The 2011 Capitals won the state championship and Kittay was named the South Dakota High School Hockey Coach of the Year six times.
This past season, Kittay coached the Capitals’ pee wee team. He will continue as duties as the South Dakota Boys Development DIrector.
