PIERRE – Now that fall sports are set to begin on time in South Dakota, Pierre Governor Athletics prepares for the season. Pierre Athletic Director Brian Moser served on the task force that came up with the safety plan that was recently approved by the SDHSAA Board of Directors.
Moser said that the work done by the task force was worthwhile.
Moser pointed out that the medical representatives on the task force brought out vital information.
From Moser came the encouragement for support and patience from the Pierre community.
Moser said that spectators are encouraged to attend Governor sporting events, but also to be mindful of safety for themselves and others.
There should be plenty of room for fans to attend Governor football games at Hollister Field.
Buses carrying Governor athletes will have seating charts and masks will be worn. Also, parents will have an option.
Moser said that for now, South Dakota is fortunate to have less of a problem with the virus than other areas.
Moser advised that CDC and other guidelines may keep changing.
