DICKINSON, ND – A two-game winning streak ended for the Pierre Trappers Saturday with a 9-5 loss to the Badlands Big Sticks. Nathan Sanders had a two-run double in a four-run first and three RBI.
Pierre starter Michael Newman (1-4) allowed six runs to Badlands, lasting only an inning and a third in his start. Cooper McMurray hit a two-run homer, his fifth, for the Trappers.
The Trappers are 13-16 and three and a half games behind the Lewis Division-leading Big Sticks. They will close the series in Dickinson Sunday at 5:35 CT.
