Post 8’s Garrett Stout and Andrew Coverdale were named on the All-State A Legion Baseball team by a vote of the league’s head coaches.
Coverdale hit .413 with 10 doubles, five triples, 34 RBI and had an OPS (on-base percentage plus slugging percentage) of 1.118. He also had a .980 fielding percentage.
Stout hit .402 with seven homers and 36 RBI. He also hit 11 doubles and six triples and compiled an OPS of 1.146.
State champion Rapid City Post 22 had the most players on the team with five. Brandon Valley had three, Post 8 had two, and Harrisburg, Renner, Brookings and Watertown had one each.
