PIERRE – Governor Girls Tennis played strong Tuesday in winning its first home dual of the season, 6-3 over Aberdeen Roncalli at Griffin Park. Flights 3-6 in singles and 2-3 in doubles were winners for Pierre.
Governor Head Coach Jessica Carr said, “We’re definitely starting to pick up duals that we lost last year, so it’s great to see the girls’ dedication and time paying off. We’re through the front half of the season so we are looking to be purposeful with our practice time and continuing to build what we’ve done to this point and it will hopefully see the team doing well in the last half of our season, especially as we head into ESD and state.”
The Governors will play Huron, Watertown and Brookings in a quadrangular Saturday in Huron.
