In High school Volleyball around the area. Mobridge Pollock got the straight set win last night over Leola Frederick 25 to 21, 25 to 14 and 25 to 15. Emma Keller and Callie Weisbeck combined to go 61 for 62 setting with 17 assists. As a team the Lady Tigers went 70 of 80 hitting with 23 kills. Leading the way in the kills department was Channing Wientjes who went 19 out of 21 with 3 kills, Megan Zahn went 12 out of 18 with 6 kills and Regan Stoick went 14 out of 15 with 7 kills. Emily Wientjes had 14 digs and Regan Stoick had 13 digs. Regan Stoick was a leader at the service line as well with 4 aces. The Lady Tigers will play tomorrow in Mobridge as McLaughlin and Stanley County will come to town. The action starts at around 11:00 AM CT at the Mobridge Pollock High School Gym. Ipswich was also a straight set winner last night against Sunshine Bible Academy. The Tigers won the first set 38 to 18 the second 25 to 13 and the third set 25 to 18. The service line leader was Ashton Loken who was 12 of 15 with 5 aces. Setting wise Bailey Pitz was 35 for 35 with 12 assists. Lindsey Grabowska was 11 for 18 hitting with 7 kills. The Mobridge Pollock Boys Golf team hosted the Big Dakota Conference meet yesterday at Oahe Hills Golf Club in Mobridge. The low score golfer for the Tigers was Jack Faehnrich going out with a 45 and coming in with a 40 good enough for a second place. Sean Moser placed third going out with a 43 and coming in with a 43. Simon Fried ended up with an 89 on the day, John Beadle was in the top ten along with Will Blankartz. The Golf team will be in Winner on Tuesday for the Winner invite.
