SIOUX FALLS – One of men’s college basketball’s biggest regular-season tournaments reportedly is coming to South Dakota.
CBS Sports College Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein reported Monday that the Battle 4 Atlantis, normally held in the Bahamas, will be held this season at the Sanford Pentagon. Rothstein also reported that a small number of fans will be allowed to attend.
This year’s event originally was scheduled for November 25-27 at Nassau, Bahamas. Rothstein wrote that the official dates will be decided after the NCAA announces the official start date for basketball. The Divsion I Council is set to meet on Wednesday.
Scheduled to play this year in the Battle 4 Atlantis are Duke, Creighton, Memphis, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Utah, West Virginia and Wichita State.
