Crosswalk lights installed at Buchanan Elementary in Pierre

Buchanan Elementary in Pierre now has flashing lights at the crosswalk in front of the school.

Principal Ryan Noyes says the crosswalk lights are at the intersection of Capital Avenue and Fir Avenue. He says students push the button when they want to cross, activating the lights which flash rapidly. Motorists must stop to allow the children to cross. The lights were installed yesterday (Sept. 17).
