Food service director Liz Marso says the program includes breakfast and lunch and runs until December 31 or until funding runs out. She says if your student wishes to purchase extra milks, extra entrees or other items not included in the free meal, those items will still be available for purchase.
Marso says grab-and-go meals are also available. She says parents or guardians should complete orders for the week:
- by 9am the previous Friday
- by 9am the day before
Meal Pick Up:
- Students do not need to be present.
- Pick up is weekdays from 1-2:30pm at Georgia Morse Middle School.
- Use the entrance on Highland Avenue by the two large garage doors.
- Ring the doorbell for service.
If you need to cancel meals you’ve pre-ordered, please email Steven.McClelland@k12.sd.us before 9am. After the 3rd time of placing an order, but not picking it up, the district will no longer prepare pick up meals for your student.
The free meals are being offered through the US Department of Agriculture because of the COVID pandemic.
