“Her Vote. Her Voice.” group marking 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote with gathering this evening in Pierre

The Pierre/Fort Pierre “Her Vote. Her Voice.” group is holding a public gathering this evening (Oct. 1) to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote.

The come and go event will be held from 5-7pm CT at the Storm Shelter in Griffin Park (by the tennis courts) in Pierre.

There will be food and drink (despite “prohibition”) and an opportunity to vote on local “referenda.” Have fun and feel free to wear 20s style hats or headbands. There will also be an opportunity to donate to the South Dakota State Historical Society.
