Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization that provides planting, haying, harvesting and livestock feeding assistance free of charge to farm and ranch families who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster, is currently raising funds to purchase essential equipment for future operations.
The nonprofit recently launched a fundraising campaign to assist in the purchase of a John Deere combine, which will be used to support the organization’s harvest assistance efforts in 2022 and beyond.
This fundraising effort offers a unique opportunity to individual donors looking to contribute to the cause. With a donation of $250 or more, supporters will have their name displayed on the purchased machine. Supporters of the combine fundraiser will be recognized for several years in a very visible manner.
“We are requesting help in acquiring this much needed equipment in a time sensitive manner,” said Bill Gross, Founder & President, Farm Rescue. “This combine is vital for us to provide harvest assistance to those stricken by unexpected crisis.”
The additional combine will allow a greater number of farm families to receive harvest assistance throughout Farm Rescue’s seven-state service territory. The organization is hoping to raise $500,000 in donated funds by the end of 2021 to help acquire the machine. Those interested in donating to the Farm Rescue Combine Fund should visit farmrescue.org/donate and choose “Combine Fund” in the dropdown menu.
