WATERTOWN – Governor Volleyball struggled again Tuesday, dropping its fourth straight match, this time to Watertown in three sets, 25-20, 25-16, 25-10.
Watertown (8-2) was led by Maggie Heesch with 13 kills. Pierre (3-4) had six kills from Raegan Wiebe. Makenna Schlekeway had three aces. However, the Governors hurt themselves with 25 hitting errors.
Governor Head Coach Kacy Kienholz said that her team started well, but fell off fast.
Kienholz said that the Arrows were as strong as expected.
Kienholz said that Watertown outside hitter Maggie Heesch was too much for Pierre.
According to Kienholz, one area of Pierre’s game was solid.
There were some new lineup combinations tried.
Kienholz said that on Thursday, the Governors will see a typical Huron team.
Since their return from a 19-day break between games due to COVID-19, the Governors have dropped all nine sets. They still have two more matches this week, and next will be a match with Huron at the Riggs High gym on Thursday night.
