PRESHO – Colton Collins rushed for three touchdowns Thursday as the Lyman Raiders took a snowy 36-16 decision over the Burke Cougars in the first round of the 9A playoffs. Collins had a touchdown run on the first drive for Lyman (6-2), then scored in the third and fourth quarters. Quarterback Tegan Gourneau’s third-quarter rushing touchdown, set up by a lost fumble by Burke (5-4), put Lyman ahead to stay. Gourneau also threw a touchdown pass to Declan Cleveland.
Collins eclipsed the thousand-yard mark with 254 yards on 35 carries. He now has 1,114 yards and 18 touchdowns rushing this season.
Lyman will play Thursday in the 9A quarterfinal round.
