An 84-year-old man died in a one-vehicle crash two miles west of Kimball this morning (Oct. 22 at 8:50am).
The name of the deceased is not yet being released pending notification of family members. He was the only person involved.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the man was driving a 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup eastbound on Interstate 90 when it went into the south ditch. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the Chamberlain hospital.
South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
