In-person food trade exhibitions have been rare in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some events have been conducted virtually, while others have been postponed until next year. But food trade shows are returning to some Asian markets, including the recently completed SIAL China (pronounced see-al) food exhibition held in Shanghai.
The U.S. Meat Export Federation is currently preparing for two upcoming trade shows – Restaurant and Bar Hong Kong and Food & Hotel China. Joel Haggard, USMEF senior vice president for the Asia Pacific, has more details on these events in this audio report.
USMEF’s participation in these events is made possible through support from the Beef Checkoff Program, the National Pork Board, the USDA Market Access Program and the USDA Agricultural Trade Promotion Program.
