SPEARFISH – Black Hills State Athletic Director Jhett Albers announced his resignation Thursday. It will take effect in June.
Albers, who came to BHSU as volleyball head coach in 1999, has been athletic director since 2006.
Albers, a Spearfish native, played a key role in helping BHSU secure entry into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 2012. Athletic scholarships, which totaled around $450,000 a year when Albers took over, are now over $1,000,000 annually.
