(Watertown Radio)– A man who graduated from Miller High School and now lives in Hitchcock has been identified as the person who drowned while ice fishing this week in Clark County.
Sheriff Robert McGraw says it appears 65 year-old Carl Iverson of Hitchcock drove his snowmobile into open water in foggy conditions while fishing on Dry Lake #2, north of Willow Lake on Tuesday (Feb. 2, 2021).
Family members became concerned and called law enforcement when he failed to return home that night. Iverson’s body and snowmobile were recovered the next day in about 14 feet of water.
Along with being a Miller High School graduate, Iverson was also a US Army veteran.
His funeral will be held Monday at 2 o’clock at the Hitchcock United Methodist Church.
