MITCHELL – Brock Sundall of Chamberlain has been named as the new president of the South Dakota Baseball Coaches Association. Sundall replaces Burt Tulson of Lake Norden, who retired from the position after 27 years.
Also, at the South Dakota Amateur Baseball Association meeting in Mitchell on February 14, Richard Rockafellow of Philip was re-elected as the organization’s vice president. Rockafellow retired after 28 years as umpire-in-chief and has been replaced by Joe Schlimhgen of Mitchell. Brock Greenfield has been reappointed as commissioner. Scott Healy has been reappointed as an A commissioner.
It was finalized that the 2021, 2022 and 2023 state amateur tournaments will be held in Mitchell.
