SD DOC inmate who left a facility in Sioux Falls in September now in custody in Arkansas

A state prison inmate placed on escape status last fall is back in custody.

Joseph Davis was arrested in Ash Flat, Arkansas February 22. He is currently being held at the Sharp County Jail.

Davis left the Sioux Falls Community Work Center without authorization on September 4, 2020.

Davis is serving a five-year sentence for distribution of marijuana from Davison County.
