SIOUX FALLS – Pierre Governor Baseball came back from two losses Friday to win twice Saturday at Harmondon Park, defeating Yankton 4-1 and O’Gorman 11-10 in eight innings.
In the win over Yankton, Issac Polak and Jackson Edman combined to allow five hits and strike out five. Polak, Maguire Raske and Lincoln Kienholz had RBI singles. Elliot Leif drove in a run with a ground ball. Kienholz was four-for-four with a triple. Bennett Dean also tripled.
Jacob Mayer drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the eighth inning against O’Gorman, his fourth hit of the game. Kienholz had three hits, including a double and triple, and drove in two. Andy Gordon, Matthew Hanson and Collin Brueggeman had two hits each.
Pierre (12-4) will host Rapid City Central in a doubleheader Wednesday at Hyde Stadium, the first two of 10 straight home games to end the regular season for the Governors.
