An effort to help address the need for more foster and adoptive families for children in South Dakota kicked off today (May 11, 2021) in Fort Pierre.
Governor Kristi Noem says the Stronger Families Together initiative will help recruit, prepare and support foster and adoptive families.
Noem shared a little about her personal experience being part of a foster family.
The Stronger Families Together effort is led by the state Department of Social Services in partnership with South Dakota Kids Belong.
