I know I couldn’t sit at a desk all day. If you have a desk job, you are my hero! I have to be up and bout doing things otherwise I go insane. My Fitbit every once in a while will yell at me for being on my butt for too long and I usually get mad at it! In all reality, it’s my fault. Scientists are saying if you work at a desk all day, there are a few things you can do.
According to Yahoo News, you should work out three minutes for every hour you sit or aren’t doing activity. This will help cut down the risk of health issues down the road! They say this could cut down on heart disease and other health risks. The recommendation is you should work out for 30 minutes a day for five days a week. If you follow the 3-minute rule, it should be around 25 minutes, so you are an overachiever if you do 30!
To be honest, I work out for about an hour a day and feel great when I do. I took a week off recently and I’m still recovering from that. As a fitness instructor, I’ve seen fitness improve so many folk’s lives and that’s why I continue to work out and try to inspire others. Let’s get active together!
