Temperatures have been in the 90s or higher for over a week now in South Dakota, but today (June 10) is the first day the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory to go along with the hot temperature.
Weatherology meteorologist Michael Karow says the difference today is the dew point.
But, Karow says with that cold comes the potential for severe weather.
He says it’ll get hot again over the weekend, but not like it is today.
