PIERRE – 11 runs in three innings by the Sioux Falls Sunfish broke open a tight game Wednesday and sent Sioux Falls over the Pierre Trappers 13-5 at Hyde Stadium, the Trappers’ sixth loss in a row.
Carter Tibbits drove in three runs for the Sunfish. Cade Kalehuawehe and Dane Fraser each drove in two runs. Sioux Falls scored three runs in the fifth inning, five in the sixth and three more in the seventh.
Joseph Bramanti had a two-run home run and drove in three for the Trappers (6-11). Starting pitcher Fischer Rousch struck out six in five innings, but took the loss.
