PIERRE – Four-run frames in the second and fourth innings Saturday led the Wheat City Whiskey Jacks to a 9-7 win over the Pierre Trappers at Hyde Stadium.
Jaxon Sorenson hit a three-run home run and an RBI single for Wheat City. Trey Guajardo drove in three with a two-run single and sacrifice fly.
Colin Adams hit his second home run for Pierre (9-17), a two-run shot in the ninth that brought the Trappers to within two runs. Ty Stauss contributed a two-run single. Adrian Lopez (1-2) gave up eight runs and seven hits in just four innings.
