UPDATE:
Traffic was disrupted for about 3.5 hours this morning (June 28) after a semi trailer became wedged under the train bridge in Pierre.
Information from the Pierre Police Department says officers were alerted to the situation around 7:30am. The driver, Francisco Astorga Gonzalez of Gadsden, Arizona, was traveling north on Pierre Street when he ignored warning signs and lights and attempted to go under the bridge. The trailer became lodged under the bridge and had to be unloaded it before it could be removed.
Gonzalez was issued a citation for a Truck Route Violation.

Monday (June 28) isn’t off to a great start for one semi driver thanks to the train bridge along a major route of travel in Pierre. Shortly before 8am, the trailer of a southbound semi got caught under the bridge. More information is not yet available.
