Passengers flying out of the Pierre Regional Airport have two airlines to choose from starting today (July 1).
Denver Air Connection was awarded a two-year contract to serve Pierre under the federal government’s Essential Air Service program and will provide service to the Denver International Airport.
The previous contract holder, SkyWest Airlines, lost the bid to retain the federally-subsidized service, but they’ll continue serving Pierre– at least for now.
Denver Air Connection co-founder Glen Rich says it’s unusual for two commercial airlines to be serving a market this size…
Both SkyWest and Denver Air Connection book flights using united.com.
