PIERRE – A seven-run first inning started the Western Nebraska Pioneers in their 13-6 win over the Pierre Trappers Wednesday at Hyde Stadium.
Every Pioneer starter drove in at least one run. JT Waldon homered and drove in three runs. Alex Zerfass and Kelen Rutz drove in two apiece.
Joseph Bramanti homered and drove in three runs for Pierre (10-24). Colin Adams and Ty Stauss had two hits each.
